HENS / KURY

The installations consists of several hens whose peck pattern is mapped and tracked by sounds. 

Where is the mind of other beings? What if hens’ pecking is not only a compulsive activity, but a pattern? What if a species that existed way earlier than human has better knowledge about the state of the world? Especially, since it has memory of natural catastrophe in its genes?  

White HENS are counting, posing questions and looking for answers.

Black HENS, like comic book monsters, take-over the World. They ironically represent forces more powerful than human scale, hyper objects (acc. to T. Morton) – for which the human presence is imperceptible, irrelevant or no longer valid at all.

Instalacje składają się z kilku kur, których wzór dziobania jest mapowany i śledzony przez dźwięki.

Gdzie jest umysł innych istot? Co jeśli dziobanie kur jest nie tylko czynnością kompulsywną, ale wzorem? Co jeśli gatunek, który istniał znacznie wcześniej niż człowiek, ma lepszą wiedzę na temat świata? Zwłaszcza, że ma w genach pamięć o katastrofie naturalnej?

Białe KURY liczą, zadają pytania i szukają odpowiedzi.

Czarne KURY, podobnie jak potwory z komiksów, przejmują Świat. Jak na ironię reprezentują siły silniejsze niż ludzka skala, hiperobiekty (według T. Mortona) – dla których obecność ludzka jest niezauważalna, nieistotna lub w ogóle nieważna.
